Local Area

Longbridge itself has a rich motor history, previously being home to the Austin Motor company. Many buildings in this area have incorporated a nod to this history. Herbert’s Yard is a local place to get together for a drink and food. It is used as a meeting point for many and takes its name from Herbert Austin.

There are also a number of green spaces in the Longbridge area, from the River Rea, running just at the back of the Blaise hospital, to Balaam’s Wood Nature Reserve and Lickey Hills, offering tranquil spaces to walk and enjoy the fresh air.
