Interventional Radiology

Interventional Radiology is the use of imaging equipment to guide our clinicians to access areas of your pet’s body to deliver a treatment. This gives us a lot of new options for treatment, and is minimally invasive, meaning that there is less need for open surgeries.

The benefits to our patients are:

• Faster recovery times
• Less pain
• Less chance of wound complications

And many treatments are for conditions that were previously untreatable.

Commonly treated conditions include:

• Vascular – The circulatory system
• Renal system (kidneys, bladder etc)
• Respiratory system
• Gastrointestinal
• Cardiac – conditions of the heart
