Hannah McCormick RVN Emergency Daytime Nurse

Hannah qualified from the College of Animal Welfare in 2023 having undertaken training alongside her studies at a local referral practice. For 8 years, Hannah worked within a referral practice beginning her career as a veterinary care assistant and then as a student veterinary nurse. Post qualification she then decided to broaden her horizons.

During her training and time in referral nursing, Hannah found a real passion for emergency and critical care and out of hours work. Alongside referral clinicians and primary care, Hannah thrived in a high stress environment. This allowed her to develop skills to help regulate a busy triage service, manage a bustling ward and a complex intensive care unit.

This vital experience led to her to Blaise. Hannah joined Blaise as an Out of Hours Senior Daytime Nurse. It has been a welcome challenge bringing with it a varied caseload, including exotics, which has allowed her to really thrive in a varied environment.

Hannah has two horses of her own and co-manages a busy equine rehabilitation and breeding yard which often means working closely with large animal veterinary surgeons and equine medicine. Hannah enjoys her busy schedule and working closely alongside so many brilliant people.
