Daphne Simpson - Oncology Nurse
Daphne Simpson RVN Oncology Nurse

Daphne had a career as a nurse in the United States working in many areas such as, medical surgical, geriatric, dementia, and hospice care prior to moving to England in 2009.

She began a new career in the veterinary sector in 2017 as work experience, progressing to a student nursing role. Daphne qualified as a veterinary nurse through Moreton Morrell College in 2020 and joined the register in 2022 and spent 5 years working in a small animal first opinion practice. Daphne then made the move to referral nursing at Blaise in 2023 and completed a PGCert AVN in Clinical Nursing and Client Support at Hartpury University in 2024.

She absolutely loves working in oncology! It is very near to her heart, having lost her Dad to lymphoma in 2006. It is such a privilege to be able to care for and bring light to our patients and families at a time when they may feel hopeless. She enjoys building a special relationship with them and making sure that they feel completely supported from the beginning to the end of their journey with us.

When not working, Daphne can be found either screaming encouragement on the sidelines of her four children’s various sporting endeavors, being chased around her yard by her angry cockerel, Abraham, or tending to her bees, cats and dogs on, what she likes to call, her Mid-terraced Farm.
