Sophie qualified from Pershore College in 2018 having trained at the local RSPCA hospital. Following her qualification, Sophie then went on to stay working at the hospital. This is where her passion for animal welfare and patient care began.

She then moved on to working at Vets Now as a Roving Veterinary Nurse, which involved moving around the different clinics providing support to the areas with the busiest caseload. This provided a great experience and helped Sophie to develop the necessary skills to advance her career even further. From adapting quickly to new environments to coping in high stress scenarios, the skills Sophie acquired were fundamental to her next move.

Sophie’s passion for animal welfare and emergency work brought her to her new role at Blaise. Sophie joined Blaise as an OOH Clinical Team Lead. Alongside enjoying all aspects of her role, Sophie particularly enjoys the varied caseload seen within the emergency and critical care service and has a keen interest in trauma patients and their intense stabilisation periods.

Sophie has two young children who take up the majority of her time. Sophie and her family spend most of their time outside trying to burn off the energy of a feral 2 and 3 year old.

Sophie is also due to begin her PG CERTAVN (ECC) during autumn 2024, which is a very exciting prospect.
