Tim began his career as an apprentice carpenter & Joiner gaining four City & Guilds Awards, then moved into supervision of a team of trades people & contractors. He returned to further education to complete his Ordinary & Higher National Certificate in building studies. Along with other trade certificates Tim also gained Health & Safety qualifications, including the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health & National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health.
For several years Tim built up his knowledge of building maintenance & took on the roles of Building Engineer & Contracts manager. This involved running several large maintenance contracts across the East & West Midlands for the electricity distribution industry.
After 30 years in electrical distribution, he decided to go self employed working for small/medium building contractors, offering them services in Health & Safety & surveying. He then went into the Care industry & was commissioning new care homes across the midlands.
When Tim noticed the position at Blaise to help with Operations/Facilities & maintenance of a brand-new hospital, it was an opportunity too good to miss & was really pleased when offered the position to use his knowledge & learn even more about how a veterinary hospital works.
