Maria Dalla Fontana

Maria graduated from the University of Padova, Italy in 2016.

She worked in a busy primary care practice in Italy before moving to the UK to pursue a career within veterinary referrals at Aberdeen Vet Referrals. Maria then moved to the University of Glasgow where she completed an internship and an ECVS residency, which she completed in 2023.

Maria’s clinical interests are in surgical oncology and traumatology. She has always wanted to be a vet, from when she was a child, “when I started working I developed a strong passion for surgery and always wanted to learn, and improve as much as possible to give the best standard of care to my furry patients.” 

In her spare time, Maria loves being outdoors – in fact anything involving mountains and hills. She loves trail running, hiking and skiing. And although she does not have any pets at the moment, her mum breeds Belgian Shepherds and she tries to go back and see the puppies as often as possible.
